The bill "For the establishment of the 24th of April as the day of
commemoration of the genocide of Armenians by Turkey" was unanimously
accepted in principle, in article and in its entirety in one discussion and
is as follows:
The 24th of April is established as the day of commemoration of the genocide
of Armenians by Turkey.
Article 1
The 24th of April is defined as the day of commemoration of the genocide of
Armenians by Turkey.
Article 2
The character, content, bearer and manner of organization of the
commemoration events are determined by a presidential decree that is issued
with the proposal of the Ministries of the Interior, and of Public
Administration and Decentralization, after taking into consideration the
advice of the most recognized Armenian guilds and organizations.
Article 3
The present law will be in effect after its publication in the Official
Gazette of the Hellenic Government
